Take attendance with a QR code
Show a QR code in each class, and students record their attendance with their phones.
Overview
Edunoah records attendance in real time with QR codes. A teacher starts a session and shows a QR code, and students scan it with their phones.
Start a session
- Open the course you're taking attendance for.
- Click Start session. If there was an earlier session today, you can reopen it or start a new one.
- Show the QR code to students on a projector or by sharing your screen.
- As students scan it, the attendance list updates on the spot.
Attendance statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Present | Checked in within the late grace period |
| Late | Checked in after the grace period |
| Absent | Didn't check in before the session ended |
End a session
Click End session to turn off the QR code. Students who didn't check in are marked absent.
Record or fix attendance by hand
When a QR code isn't an option, or a record needs fixing, you can record attendance by hand.
- On the attendance tab, choose Manual record.
- Choose a student and set their status.
- Click Save.
